I spend most of my time thinking about what happens when the words ship before the feature is finished. At Microsoft, I write for AI products on Edge — features like Copilot Mode, where there's no established convention for what the copy should say because the product category didn't exist yet.

Before that, I led a team of four writers through a CMS transition at Google Help Center, via Accenture. The work wasn't writing — it was figuring out how to keep a team functioning when the rules they'd been trained on stopped working.

I care about clarity, but I care more about honesty. The best content design I've done wasn't making something easy to understand — it was making sure the words didn't promise more than the product could deliver.
